In September 1985, an event would forever change the way of life for the inhabitants of Illa de Arousa: the construction of a bridge connecting it to the rest of the mainland. Electricity wiring, hot water availability, and transportation were some of the complications at the time. What was life like back then? What did people do when there were medical emergencies?
